Huddersfield Literary Festival
Thursday 11th March – off to the Peacock Lounge as part of the Huddersfield Literary Festival. Great venue, not least because it had a bar. Mind you, I’ve always thought that all libraries should be licensed, but that’s just me!
Kevin Duffy, owner of Bluemoose Books, Anna Chilvers, one of his other authors, and myself spoke for an hour. Good audience -young and eager- but I couldn’t help feeling a little intimidated by their intensity. I must remember not to lose sight of what, to me, literature is all about: the pure excitement of working with words to create something extraordinary.
